    American Journal of Neuroradiology April 2025, 46 (4) 750-757; DOI: https://doi.org/10.3174/ajnr.A8567

This study prospectively compared the image quality and diagnostic performance of conventional MRI and accelerated cervical MRI with DL-based reconstruction in evaluating cervical degenerative spine diseases and myelopathy. The DL-reconstructed protocol demonstrated reduction in scan time, higher or comparable SNR and CNR with higher or similar overall image quality, and higher sensitivity for detecting neural foraminal stenosis and comparable diagnostic performance for other degenerative cervical spinal diseases and myelopathy.

This study investigated DTI parameter alterations in pre- and postshunt implantation in patients with iNPH and the relationship between DTI parameters and clinical improvement. Cognitive domain improvement after surgery correlated with preoperative DTI values of cingulate gyrus, uncinate fasciculus, superior longitudinal fasciculus, or corpus callosum, which are regions involved in memory and psychomotor speed processes.

This study of 10 patients with DPG showed characteristic thickening of the ventral hypothalamic midline and duplication of the infundibulum, as well as associated craniofacial dysraphism, oropharyngeal mass (ie, teratoma), and vascular and vertebral anomalies. The repetitive spectrum of ventral abnormalities involving the skull base, pituitary region, corpus callosum, tuber cinereum, brainstem, cerebral arteries, and cervical spine suggests axial mesoderm duplication.
