A 33-year-old man diagnosed with HIV in 2001 (refused HIV treatment), now with left-sided headache for 6 days and new-onset right arm and leg paresthesia No fever; WBC count within normal limits; lumbar puncture with elevated protein (106) and WBC (72), normal glucose (45).
