MRI findings in 11 patients with acute flaccid paralysis are described and most commonly included extensive spinal cord lesions affecting the gray matter, especially the anterior horns, ventral cauda equina, and cervical ventral nerve roots as well as the pontinetegmentum.

Ahn, B.M. Kim, W.S. Jung and S.H. SuhAmerican Journal of Neuroradiology February 2015, 36 (2) 337-341; DOI: https://doi.org/10.3174/ajnr.A4121
Coil mass appearances were compared between initial postembolization and follow-up skull radiographs. Changes in the largest diameter of the coil mass generally indicated aneurysm recurrence, especially in the patients with high packing attenuation. Thus, lateral radiographs have the potential to predict aneurysm recurrences.

Different methods of assessing collateral circulation based on CTA were compared in 200 patients with stroke. Only the Miteff scoring system was reliable for predicting favorable outcome in these patients but poor outcomes were predictedby othermethods, too (Maas, Tan, and ASPECTS).
