- Corticospinal Tract Displacement: A Novel Imaging Marker for Arm Recovery in Patients with Acute Hypertensive Intracerebral Hemorrhage
Using high-resolution 3D MRI and DTI, this longitudinal study investigated CST displacement by mass effect from subcortical ICH and its relationship with arm recovery. CST displacement and lesion load CST volume exhibited negative and positive associations with arm recovery, respectively, implicating temporal reduction in hematoma and edema resulting in restoration of CST to its natural position.
