- Parasagittal and Superior Sagittal Sinus Dural Arteriovenous Fistulas: Clinical Presentations, Imaging Characteristics, and Treatment Strategies
This retrospective cohort study reviewed the clinical presentations and imaging characteristics of SSS and parasagittal sinus DAVFs. It is important to recognize the differences in these distinct entities, as it is important to endovascular treatment strategies.
- Low-Field Portable MR Imaging to Evaluate Ventricular Volumes: A Single-Center Retrospective Study
The authors compared low-field portable and standard MR images of ventricular volume in the same pediatric patient. They showed high correlation in the estimates of ventricular volume between the 2 types of MR imaging, without systemic bias.
- Ten Years of VASARI Glioma Features: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Their Impact and Performance
Visually Accessible Rembrandt Images (VASARI) is a standardized reporting system for gliomas that combines MRI features (eg, enhancement pattern and location). This meta-analysis found that overall survival is predicted by multifocality, ependymal invasion, and enhancing tumor crossing the midline. However, due to the heterogeneity of studies, IDH mutation prediction remains uncertain.
- Cognitive and Salience Network Connectivity Changes following a Single Season of Repetitive Head Impact Exposure in High School Football
High school football players and controls underwent cognitive battery testing. The study found that football players had subtle cognitive decrements. MRI revealed altered brain connectivity, with decreased dorsal anterior cingulate cortex interhemispheric connectivity and within-salience network connectivity, which correlated with poorer total symptoms and verbal memory performance, respectively.
